Delete Your Account

We're sorry to see you go. You can delete your Toggly account and all associated data at any time. This page explains how to do it and what happens when you do.
1. Delete from the App
The fastest way to delete your account is directly from the Toggly app:
Tap the Settings tab in the bottom navigation bar.
Scroll down and tap Account.
Tap Delete Account and confirm when prompted. Your account and all data will be permanently removed.
This process works on iOS, Android, and the web app.
2. Delete via Email
If you cannot access the app or prefer to request deletion manually, send an email to:
Please include the email address associated with your Toggly account. We will process your request within 30 days as required by applicable data protection laws.
3. What Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed from our servers:
- Your user profile — email address, display name, and authentication credentials
- Calendar tasks and events — all tasks you created
- To-do lists and items — all lists and tasks within them
- Expense records — all transactions and expense categories you created
- Tags — all custom tags you created
- Board memberships — you will be removed from all shared boards
- Settings and preferences — all personalized settings
- Subscription data — your subscription status (purchase history remains with Apple/Google)
This action is irreversible. Once your account is deleted, your data cannot be recovered. If you are a member of shared boards, your content on those boards will also be removed.
4. Active Subscriptions
Deleting your Toggly account does not automatically cancel your subscription. If you have an active Pro subscription, please cancel it before deleting your account:
- iOS — Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Toggly → Cancel
- Android — Google Play Store → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Toggly → Cancel
- Web — Manage your subscription from the app settings before deleting
If you forget to cancel, you can still manage your subscription through Apple or Google after account deletion.
5. Guest Mode Users
If you are using Toggly in guest mode (without an account), your data is stored only on your device. To remove it, simply uninstall the app. No server-side data exists for guest accounts.
6. Data Retention
After account deletion:
- All personal data is deleted immediately from our database
- Automated backups containing your data are purged within 30 days
- Anonymous, aggregated analytics data (which cannot identify you) may be retained
